Title
(National Lampoon) The Job of Sex: A Workingman's Guide to Productive Lovemaking
Subject
Humor
Description
Bizarre book roughly divided into four equal sections with charming names reflecting the title in each. Advice within each section, however, ranges from humorous to the disturbing. A familiar trope is the same cheesy masturbation fantasy where only the subject changes and includes Cleopatra, Helen of Troy, Rudolph Valentino, and Peter Abelard. Strange advice includes: Dutch oven as foreplay, determining an orgasmic rate of exchange, endorsement of pedophilia (moppetage), endorsement of "seafood" bestiality (filletio), stimulating inner erogenous zones, and arterial intercourse. More normal topics reflecting the viewpoint of the era include: fellatio, menstruation, true female orgasm, birth control, impotence, and interracial sex. Illustrations are line art with captions.
